APAT World Amateur Poker Championships: Ben Young champion

A poker tournament for amateurs was held at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, Britain. This is the Amateur Poker Association & Tour World Amateur Poker Championships (APAT). The event attracted a field of 425 players who each paid an entry fee of £ 100 generating a prize pool of £ 42,500. During the Day 1A, 212 players competed, and after this first day of competition, there were only 27 competitors in the race with Neil Lukins as chip leader. During the Day 1B, it remained 30 survivors. Thus, the Day 2 brought together 57 players and 44 of them were among the winners. Ben Young led the game completely during the second day of competition. Indeed, he demonstrated great skill and led the battle until the nine finalists were demarcated.

The final table was composed of Ritesh Chauhan who finished in the 9th place, Berney Frankfort (8th), William De-Vanney (7th), Jeldon Fernandesh (6th), Gareth Cash (5th), Mark Lassman (4th) and Wayne Parker (3rd). The final duel was played between Ben Young and Stephen Roderick. The two Britons fought for 20 minutes. Roderick stood up to Young until this last captured all of his. Ben Young won the victory in the APAT World Amateur Poker Championships in Nottingham. Poker enthusiasts will meet again in Dublin on September 24th for an Irish APAT.
