European Poker Tour Vilamoura : Brandon Cantu as chip leader

The second day of competition of the European Poker Tour Vilamoura (EPT) has just terminated. It remains 69 competitors in the race. The last champion of the event Matias Antonio could not defend his title and left the game without reaching the paid places. Other famous players have also surrendered as Vicky Coren, Liv Boeree, Dario Minieri, Ludovic Lacay, Michel Abecassis, Antony Lellouche, Antonio Esfandiari, David Williams and John Duthie, the holder of a bracelet of the World Series of Poker, James Dempsey and the EPT Snowfest champion Allen Baekke.

Among those who are still in the competition to fight for the prestigious title with a reward of € 475,000 are Pedro Guedes, Luca Pagano, who gained great success in the EPT circuit and the two players can accomplish great things thanks to their great experience as a poker pro. However, Brandon Cantu is most advantageous to the party because he will start the rest of the championship as chip leader with a big stack of 557,400 chips. Portugal's Andre Coimbra, who was leading the race at the first day of competition is also in good position because he has the second biggest stack of 476,400. However, both players must not in any way ignore the talent of the two Swedes Johan Berg and Martin Jacobson, the two Polish Marcin Grzegorz and Cichocki Horecki, the American JP Kelly, the British Sam Trickett, the Russian Dmitry Gromov and the Danes Frederick Jensen, all are in the top 10 of the event. Indeed, they are all worthy opponents.
