Spanish Poker Tour Castellón: Success of French players

French poker players let once again talking about them. Indeed, after the very acceptable ranking of Arnaud Mattern at the European Poker tour Tallinn (EPT), another avid of poker from the Hexagon, Julien Pouchain, grabbed the title of the tournament Spanish Poker Tour (SPT) that was held at the Gran Casino of Castellón, a mountainous province of Spain. This is the season 3 of SPT and the event was a great success because organizers registered a record field of 202 participants who paid the buy-in of € 1,100. Undoubtedly, this appointment brought further evidence of the great boom of Spanish poker. Julien Pouchain followed then the footsteps of his compatriot David Colin, also author of a magnificent victory at the casino Costa del Alzahar one year ago. This victory allowed him to pocket the reward of € 63,000 and also to defend the honor of France, thanks to his victory.

The final table of the SPT Castellón was formed by four French players, namely Guillaume Valle, who finished in the 3rd place with a gain of € 19,200, Thibaut Morel (4th) with a gain of € 14.200 and Fabien Perrot (5th) with a price of € 11.500. To complete the qualified for the final table, the 6th, 7th and 8th finalists were local players, like the runner up of the tournament. Indeed, Julian Pouchain faced the Spaniard Julio Dolce during the final head's up and this second best player of this event settled for a prizes worth € 32,500. The next meeting of the Spanish Poker Tour is given in Valencia.
