Merit Cyprus Classic: The first final of the second edition at the program
The second edition of Merit Cyprus Classic which kickoff was given last August 17th is in full swing at Casino Merut Crystal Cove Kyrenia, in northern Cyprus. A lot of events are planned for this big poker event, including the guaranteed prize pool of $ 3,000,000 or the Main Event of the Cyprus Championship of $ 5,000 + $ 400 buy-in with one rebuy or a possible adds-on. The Main Event is one of the highlights of this series of tournaments. The tournament has two Day 1 which will take place on Friday, August 20th and whose final table will be held on the night of August 25th to 26th 2010.
Meanwhile, the High Roller tournament of $ 25,000 + $ 750 already began, a test of three days that started on August 18th, 2010. Composed of a field of 36 players at the kick-off, one third of the participants is already out of the race, as the finalist of the Main Event of the WSOP 2008, David "Chino" Rheem and Erik Cajelais, holder of a WSOP bracelet won in Europe in 2009 and also Jean Robert Bellande. During the final table which will coincide with the Day 1A of the Main Event scheduled on August 20th, 2010, a plethora of poker players, like David Benyamine, Jon Turner , Nicolas Chouity, John Dolan, Michael Mizrachi, Ayat Yoram, Kfir Yamin, Carter Phillips, Anzor Makhjser, Bukara PERJA, Phil Ivey, Sorel Mizzi and Filippo Candio are still in the race.
