Victorian Poker Championships : In Melbourne from August 15th

Poker enthusiasts in Australia are preparing to host a local tournament to be held at Crown Casino in Melbourne from August 15th. Planned to take place over 2 weeks, the Victorian Poker Championships tournament features 14 events. This popular tournament of the Midday Series is back this year with a $ 125 buy-in No Limit Hold'em Deepstack. Intended to provide good moments during the holidays, this special event was designed to experience intense moments of poker in Australian land. This is a $ 550 buy-in No Limit Hold'em with three Day 1 letting unlucky players of the Day 1 to try again two more times their chance and the event will generate a prize pool of $ 50,000. The famous championship State of Origin will also take place Thursday, August 20th. This competition will deal the elites of different regions of this area as Australia, New Zealand, Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales. Every player will thus had to defend the honor of their respective regions.



Other events are scheduled to take place during the Victorian Poker Championships which include a $ 230 buy-in preliminary event, the team championship of $ 200, the Terminator No Limit Hold'em of $ 340, the $ 240 No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit / Omaha with $ 100 rebuys, the $ 1,100 Six-Handed, Pot Limit Omaha of $ 1,650, the $ 100,000 Challenge which was won by Bill Jordanou last year. The High Stakes Hold 'em of $ 10,200 with Julius Colman who will be back there to defend his title and the Ladies Event of $ 100 buy-in. And to close this great tournament, players will play the Main Event of $ 2,700 on Aug. 28th to determine the new champion.
