United States: The police decided to close the poker halls of Portsmouth

American people have been long overwhelmed by the excitement of poker. But as a game of chance, poker can’t be played freely outside casinos especially when money is put. But at Portsmouth city located in the State of Virginia, playing poker is legal. Thus, many "poker halls" were opened in the city to satisfy the many fans of the game. But police in Portsmouth has decided to close all institutions in the coming months. Effectively, the police will begin a raid to "poker halls" and will require that their owners cease their activities. The owners of those establishments and players will join then the rank of poker enthusiasts who will be fighting for the legalization of gambling outside casinos.

The 51 States of the United States are all bound by the agreement of the Commonwealth which is supposed to introduce common discipline; and it appears that "poker halls" tend to break this agreement which makes nation unique. This explains the decision taken by the authorities of Portsmouth. Thus, residents of Portsmouth will comply with the rule that unites all American States. Furthermore, poker has already created major problems in many U.S. households. The owners of "poker halls" that try to resist the raid will be prosecuted according to John Doyle, the spokesman of the police in Portsmouth.
