Cercle Wagram: Rami Okasha as winner of the Deepstack tournament

While most sharks of poker fight in Las Vegas to win trophies of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), others have frequented the rooms of the Cercle Wagram in Paris to participate in its Deepstack tournaments. It is a main event esteemed by all poker enthusiasts and despite the fact that the tournament is on the sidelines of the WSOP, some famous players have been seen among the field of 56 participants who were present in the circle game including Jean Paul Pasqualini, champion of the Partouche Poker Tour 2009, Nicolas Delvaux, Frank Kalfon, finalist of the World Poker Tour Barcelona 2009, Xavier Detournel and the finalist of the last stage of the Main Event of the WSOP Europe, Fabien Dunlop. Despite their proven experience in major tournaments, they didn't realize a good performance. Indeed, the final table of the € 2,000 Main Event sax as qualifiers Rami Okasha, Jimmy Atime, Ocacha Bendjebbour, Nadim Medledge, Gilles Smadja and Sebastien Grenotton, and they were the only paid players.



The final duel was played between Rami Okasha and Jimmy Atime but the victory went to Rami Okasha, a regular frequenter of the Cercle Wagram. For the occasion, he pocketed a nice windfall of € 23,000 while his runner up left the tournament with a price of € 17,500. At the side event of € 500 buy-in, Frank Kalfon grabbed the title and the first prize of € 23,010 after having ousted Guittier Christian during the final head's up. At this event, Nicolas Delvaux finished in 10th place, a magnificent performance which earned him a prize of € 2,743.
