WSOP Tournament of Champions: The 27 elected revealed

The public has given its decision on the names of 20 players among the 27 taking part in the Tournament of Champions (TOC) of the WSOP which will take place in Hotel Rio All-Suite Casino in June 27th, 2010. The verdict of this decisive choice was unveiled Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 at midnight. Of more than 350,000 votes received from voters, Phil Ivey has won the most votes, 16,267, followed closely by Daniel Negreanu, 16,239, that is to say, 28 votes less. In the third place is the godfather of poker Doyle Brunson, who was elected by 13,796 voters. With 12,673 votes, Phil Hellmuth is fourth. Then come respectively from 5th to 20th elected by fans of poker Chris Ferguson (11,585 votes), Allen Cunningham (10,486), Johnny Chan (10,434), Scotty Ngyuen (9,834), Barry Greenstein (9,806), John Juanda (8,835), Erik Seidel (8,802), Jennifer Harman (8,206), Huck Seed (8,108), Dan Harrington (7,342), TJ Cloutier (6,281), Sammy Farha (6,085), Howard Lederer (5,596), Craig Raymer (5,404), Joe Hachem (5,272) and Antonio Esfandiari with 5,129 voters.



For recall, apart from these 20 exceptional players voted by the the public, there are already the 5 compulsory retired elected because of their status as champions of the last TOC who are Annie Duke, the two Mike, Mike Sexton and Mike Matusow, Joe Cada and Barry Shulman and the two skilled players in the WSOP live, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, and online nonprofit WSOP Andrew Barton, who will have the privilege to compete in the Tournament of Champions freeroll for one million dollars guaranteed prize pool. The players have done their best, the public has expressed its preferences, and the story continues for everyone.
