ANZPT: Victory of Jason Gray in Canberra

Even if almost all the community of poker had eyes riveted on the events of the World Series of poker, fascinating poker tournaments also took place out of the big city of Las Vegas as the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour ( ANZPT) which was held in the casino of Canberra, in the Australian capital. This magnificent competition attracted numerous poker players as everyone expect it, the battle during the championship was of such a ferocity as the 9 players who rose in finale gained hard their places. Nevertheless, 21 participants were awarded for their performances and Selina Bodel was a member of it because she managed to appear in the 10th position. She pocketed for the occasion $ 6,878.

So, the final table of this stage of the ANZPT registered notables rival just like the champion and the runner up of the Asian Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) of Sydney in 2009, Aaron Benton and Jason Gray, like the titleholder and the second finalist of the ANZPT Adelaide 2010, Rennie Carnavale and Andrew Scarf as well as John Maklouf who also appeared on the final table of the stage of Sydney. In spite of the efforts deployed by all these illustrious players, only two of them were lucky to discuss the title of the tournament and the two big fortunate who distanced all players in this battle are Jason Gray and John Maklouf. These two players keen on the game demonstrated their know-how during more than two hours but at the end, Maklouf resigned himself for the place of runner up and pocketed the 60,635 prize. Gray thus seized the crowning and the $ 95,930 first prize and we should admit that it was a victory widely deserved.
