WSOP : The second $ 1,000 tournament won by Steven Gee

Steven Gee was the player ranked at the first place during the $ 1,000 No Limit Hold'em tournament of the WSOP whose final was played last Thursday, June 10th. He managed to get his first bracelet face to Matthew Vance with the tidy sum of 472,479 dollars. This new winner frequent the world of poker since this last thirty years, not as a player but as an employee in poker rooms of California. Now aged 54 years, Steven has managed to beat big names in poker like Matthew Vance and David Baker who ranked second and third in the final table. He can be very proud of his performance since he managed to rise above the fray of 3,042 participants. This tournament he won is part of the second part of the $ 1,000 tournament among the busiest in the series.



Until the beginning of the Main Event, three major tournaments of No Limit Hold'em are still in the program to allow poker players who do not have a big bankroll to access it. For this second part with mass elimination, only 324 participants among the initial field had received a share of the prize pool of 2,737,800 dollars. Regarding the results, according to David Baker who was in the third place, there is Nicholas Heater who took 149,702 dollars. He is followed by Jeffrey Gross who won 109,621 dollars and another American, Daniel Thomas, who pocketed 81,203 dollars. For the last three paid place of the tournament, appear in order Han Kyung, Jared Hamby and Mats Gavatin. These results show the effort and progress made by players starting to make themselves known in poker.
