Australian Deaf Poker Championships : The next appointment at Melbourne

After the great success experienced at the Australian Deaf Poker Championship tournament in 2009 in Sydney, a tournament dedicated to deaf, which attracted 88 poker enthusiasts, another appointment is coming and it is planned for October 8th and 9th, 2010 in Melbourne. Indeed, the next competition will be held at Local Hotel in Port Melbourne. For this step, the organizers expect the participation of 100 poker players suffering of deafness. In partnership with a company that works to promote the poker industry, the event will feature competitors a Deepstack tournament for the first time, dealers will be on the gaming tables to offer to the competition a much more official event and to allow players to experience the sensation and experience of a real exciting tournament.



Thus, the Australian Deaf Poker Championships will take on the appearance of a true poker championship except that on the gaming tables, players will communicate using Auslan signs (Australian Sign Language). The tournament will begin with the Welcome Night, an event designed so to let participants to take a break time and learn more about the basics of poker. In this way, they can play easily. On October 9th, the real battle will begin and each player must pay the buy-in of $ 30. They will receive 20,000 starting chips for a playing time of 20 minutes. This will be a great event not to be missed because not only poker fans will witness a great tournament unprecedented, but they'll also be able to encourage people with disabilities who have a chance to indulge their passion.
