Marrakesh Poker Open : Nice victory of Christophe Savary

Last week-end, poker fever has invaded the Casino Es Saadi Marrakesh, in Morocco. Indeed, the final tournament Marrakesh Poker Open (MPO) was held in this sumptuous Moroccan casino on last Sunday, June 6th. A field of 200 participants consisting of many talented players like Ludovic Lacay, Benjamin Pollak, Pierre Canali, Antoine Saout but also the king of Moroccan poker Roger Hairabedian attended this magnificent event of 4,500 Euro buy-in. Despite the skill of all competitors, only nine players have won the access to the final table. It was Jean-Jacques Mars, Peter Roche, Dimitri Levillain, Wassim Bennis, Yannick Auta, Patrice Chamarre, Anwar Mehltl, Jean-Pierre Gleize who was the chip leader of the day and Christophe Savary.

These players have shown a very breathless battle but in the end, it was the chip leader Jean-Pierre Gleize and the future hero of this poker meeting in Marrakesh, Christophe Savary, who disputed the head's up to close the event. Despite the advantage gained by Gleize, Savary, thanks to his experience, has managed to dominate the game with his talent and his performances earned in previous major international tournaments like a title of MPO, a final table of the Main Event of the World Poker Tour Marrakech, two final tables in the Side Events of this same meeting,... Last weekend thus, Savary won his second MPO trophy, a magnificent double that gave him a reward of € 198,795. Gleize as the second finalist walked away with the prize of € 127,228 and the third place of the championship returned to Jean-Jacques Mars who has also pocketed a nice bonus of € 79,518.
