World Team Poker: Launch of the meeting at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas
Poker is an intellectual sport practiced by a growing number of people and its status as a sport in itself has been acquired only for a short time, it is normal that competitions are organized by various agencies concerned to seriously promote it. There are among these poker events or championship meeting which have regional level or a continental level. One of the most important in the world is the birth of the tournament World Team Poker (WTP). This meeting will thus start at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas, Texas, the capital of the world games.
19 countries are present and each state is represented by six players who will defend his color. The formula used to tie all these people is simple: the shootout to several game variants namely No Limit, Limit and Pot Limit. Each team must pay a buy-in of $ 50,000, which is relatively affordable given the challenge posed. As usual, the captain has great flexibility because it can replace a player on the table and that, at its discretion. The country participants are : the USA, Germany, England, Armenia, Australia, Brazil, China, South Korea, Greece, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Mexico, Norway, Philippines, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Turkey. The oddly thing in this big show of poker is that France and Finland, two countries that are to introduce in a poker event are absent at the WTP.
