TOC : A little hope for David Benyamine

On the eve of the beginning of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the public continues to vote on the selection of the 20 champions who will enter the Tournament of Champions (TOC). Until now, U.S. poker stars lead the head of the selection as the great Doyle Brunson, Howard Lederer, Jhonny Chan, John Juanda, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Scotty Nguyen and many others. The world championship of poker has experienced a wide participation of American players since its inception and they are likely to have already won the famous bracelet. Note that for the 20 competitors who will fight for the title of this competition, they must have at least one WSOP bracelet and if we take a look at the list of famous American players owner of this jewelry, the emergence of an European player on the tables of this competition is almost bizarre. The only players of other nationalities who are in the provisional top 20 are the Canadian Daniel Negreanu and Joe Hachem of Australia.

In consideration of the current evolution of the situation, any French players won't have the chance to sit alongside the pros at the U.S. championships. However, a French representative is found in the top 50. This is David Benyamine, whom, with a bit of luck could be on the table of the TOC. Moreover, the vote will be closed only on June 15th, 2010. Benyamine fans should therefore mobilize to move him to the head of the list. Missing from the poker circuit for three years, the TOC is a highly anticipated event and at this tournament, poker enthusiasts have plenty of time to admire the cream of the game vying for the prestigious title.
