WSOP 2010 : Two events in South Africa

It's confirmed ! Emerald Resort and Casino in Johannesburg will have the privilege of receiving two WSOP events on October 24th to 31st as part of Emerald Poker Series. This time, they capture the holding of the next World Cup of football to popularize more poker. The two events are : a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament involving 200 players during three days with a buy-in of $ 1.100 and $ 300 rebuy and a four-day event involving 500 players of NLHE $ 5,000 buy-in.

The two WSOP events held in South Africa are new experiences in this regard because as explained by Harrah's, efforts are actually turned to South Africa which is one of Africa's most friendly for sports betting and poker at these days. Poker has become a popular game in the country of Nelson Mandela in the past few years, especially after the very good performance of the local player Raymond Rahme, who won the 3rd place and a gain of $ 3,048,025 during the Main Event of the WSOP 2007. He also won two events to the All Africa Poker Tournament in Swaziland of the next year, not counting the other successes in various international tournaments. It is also based on this popularity that WSOP events are organized as an introduction designed to generate new similar initiatives.
