Poker : Considered form now as intellectual sport
Most fans and poker enthusiasts have traditionally struggled to defend the quality of poker as an intellectually and strategically game and to say that they are the,selves sportsmen. Some leaders of the sector were gone until making representations in front of the authorities to claim a sport status for poker. Although the results have not yet been obtained, the poker community has still won a battle because the International Association of Sports Intellectuals (IMSA) has accepted the membership of the International Federation of Poker (IFP) in his big family. Game of Go, bridge and chess are part of this association. This decision of the IMSA was approved at its annual congress in Dubai after the submission of the IFP members of the association.
So now, poker is considered as intellectual sport and not just a game of chance. It is much better account which will give a good image to its practitioners. While formerly wealthy poker millionaires were considered as good luck because poker is gambling with large sums of money in play, they will gain a very different notoriety. And part of the IMSA, poker will be played at the World Games Sports Spirit in 2012. A similar event has already taken place in Beijing in 2008 and 2,763 players from 143 different nationalities were brought together. In 2012, poker fans have the right to participate and this will be a great opportunity for professionals of this game to get an exceptional title.
