Sale of Rio: No impact on the WSOP 2010
It seems that the World Series of Poker (WSOP) may well have a new host for next season, new unconfirmed predict said the sale of Rio by Christmas. Harrah's, which is none other than the owner of the World Series of Poker, is seriously considering to sell to the highest bidder Rio, and this because of its geographical position and some function of the hotel that no longer correspond to the overall strategy of the company. According to estimates, the property of 89 hectares is approximately $ 85 million profit a year, meaning that its price would be around 520 million dollars. It is likely that Harrah's will move the World Series at Caesars Palace, the transition to Roman-style casino would have been discussed in 2008, but Harrah's has estimated that the occupancy of the rooms can be maximized by keeping the event at the Rio.
A sale of Rio would allow the company to repay a portion of its mountain of debt, the company still has $ 5.5 billion to be repaid by 2015.
