Joe Cada: The 2009 champion shares his thoughts before the start of the WSOP

Less than a month before the World Series of Poker 2010 (WSOP), Joe Cada gives his impressions. For those with short memories or those who have spent six months on Mars, Joe Cada won last November's WSOP and over $8.5 million for the champion, and he became at the same time the youngest winner of the Main Event in the WSOP history. Now, after some months that he spent most to bear the burden instead of playing poker, Cada is eager to play a few tournaments to enter the conditions to defend his title. But his main resolution is to just play his best poker, and stay focused.

To start again, the world champion said he will play more events in Omaha this year than last year. He added that he will even participate in some mixed events. "I'm not super happy with how I play mixed games," he said. "But you can get lots of practice in online poker with thousands of hands a day." He does not therefore ban to play mixed games online. Clearly, Cada welcomes the opportunity to defend his title in Las Vegas, but he is currently in the Principality of Monaco to try to win a title of the European Poker Tour (EPT), but also to understand how Europeans play.
