Online poker : PartyGaming signs with AB Group to pierce the French market

The online gaming company PartyGaming mainly known for the notoriety of its online poker site, Party Poker is in the way to install its activities in France. Last year, it had stated its intention to seize the opportunity of the forthcoming opening of the French market of sports betting and online games to mark its presence in all areas of gambling such as poker, sports betting, bingo or casino. This let already hear the possibility to PartyGaming to work with operators in France. In January 2010, there were rumors of fusion between PartyGaming and Bwin but a few months later, at the end of March, a partnership with the PMU has been concluded.

But the consolidation of this implementation on French soil has been pursued through the signing of an agreement with AB Group. This is an exclusive agreement stipulating the provision of an online service for the benefit of the French broadcasting group. The role of the latter will then to submit an offer to players of online poker with the name of "Lucky jeu" through the network sites Party Poker of PartyGaming, and in its turn, to promote it through its TV channels that are fifteen in number. Although it sets up in France, a possible obtaining license in the country will enable the British company to have the right to operate under its own brand. But this depends on Arjel and even earlier, the enactment of the law on gambling in France.
