TV show about poker: Joe Cada in “6th Street”
The acclaimed documentary "6th Street” will be focused this time in poker with a new series of episodes. The documentary will highlight the success of the youngest champion in the history of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker, Joe Cada. This documentary is a show inspired from another show, "Entourage," which is an instant popular success in the USA. For those who do not know "Entourage", it is a television series created by Doug Ellin and broadcast since 2004 on HBO. The French public will know the series in a few years, the series airs on W9 since February 19th, 2008 and since April 22th, 2006 on TPS Star. Mark Wahlberg, executive producer of the series, is also its creator. The story was loosely based on the experience of his beginnings as a young player in Hollywood.
The new series of "6th Street will reward the audience with a flashback to the largest poker tournament in the world, held from November 7th to 10th, 2009 in Las Vegas. It then shows the new vibrant life of the new champion but also its everyday ordinary. 6th Street cameras embedded themselves in the privacy of the champion, watching him with his family and his relatives and his many follies that would not have happened without his victory. Note that the title track of the show is based in part on the river, the 5th and final card of the board unveiled after the flop of three cards and the turn.
