France Poker Series: Birth of a new live poker circuit in the Hexagon

A new circuit of live poker, especially tailored to the Hexagon had just seen the day. Its creators have dubbed this new series of live tournament France Poker Series. The Season 1 of this circuit will count 7 steps most of which will be hosted by Partouche casinos. The entry fee for each series will be € 1,200 with the key of a guaranteed prize pool of € 300,000. The first stop of the France Poker Series will be in Casino of Beaulieu-sur-Mer on Saturday, May 1 until the following May 2 while the grand finale of € 2,500 will be held at Circle Haussmann in Paris in February 2011. Like other big live tournaments as the European Poker Tour or the World Poker Tour, the winners of each stage of the FPS will automatically have a seat at the final, the top five players in the rankings of FPS will also join them for the final.

The FPS will also include an international stage that will take place in Moroccan territory, but neither the date nor the exact location of the tournament has been revealed. But for such tournament, Casino Es Saadi Marrakech, the first casino in the country for over fifty years, would be the appropriate host. The French cities crossed by France Poker Series are Beaulieu, Divonne-les-Bains, Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, Lyon, Forges-les-Eaux and Paris. Apart from the first stage in the Côte d'Azur which will receive 300 players, the other steps can host more than 400 players.
