And we already know the result, the Tiger Woods of poker didn't resist the attractions of a chicken leg and this is the new the challenge : as with Phil Ivey, Mikey Knuckles wants to renounce "anything that moves" and will be limited to strictly vegetarian meals for twelve months. Partouche Poker Tour Super Satellite of Nice: Omar Karib untouchable
The Super Satellite of Nice which is part of the Partouche Poker Tour took place between two Euopean Poker Tour (EPT), San Remo and Monte Carlo. It was expected that the event will be a disaster and a fiasco would not be a surprise. None of this did happen because 343 players have graced the Mediterranean event with their presence. The surprise came from players like Jean Paul Pasqualini, Fabrice Soulier, Marc Inizan, Eric Haik, Yohann Azoulay, Roger Hairabedian Antoine Amourette, Jean-Philippe Rohr, Claire Renaut, Youcef Benzerfa because they were part of those who didn't have not been able to get their ticket to the finals of Cannes. EPT Monte Carlo : Launching of the last step
The European Poker Tour Monte Carlo is the last stage of the season, the last certainly, but not the least. For many players, the EPT Monte Carlo is the best poker tournament in the world after the Main Event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). More than one thousand players should open the doors of the “Salle des étoiles” (arguably the finest poker room in the world) and do not be reluctant to pay the buy-in of € 10,600. This big crowd should generate a prize pool that is around 10 million dollars. The Day 1A has a slight drop in participation over the last European Poker Tour Monte Carlo, at the origin of this decrease, the cancellation of airlines flights because of the eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjöll. The Day1 A began with a slew of players from internet qualification, but this EPT would not be an EPT without pros who are also very numerous.

WPT World Poker Tour Championship : The victory for David Williams
The season 8 of the World Poker Tour has been marked by success in its many stops, but it lost this superb hit when the tour went to the Bellagio to close the season. Many poker experts had predicted this drop. The prohibitive buy-in of $ 25,000 is for something. Although the fact that players have abandoned the sumptuous poker tournament, fans worldwide have remained very attentive to conduct of the competition every day and wondered who would win the prestigious title. The French David Benyamine had a great chance to clinch victory during the grand finale of the World Poker Tour held at the Bellagio. David approached the final table with a very good place in number of tokens (second with 4.705 million). And the player who would steal the title was right behind him (third with 4.7 million), this is another David and as might as expected, it was not the French but the American who win.

French poker players: Will the new law harm their interests?
If we refers to the new law on online gambling that the French Senate and National Assembly have just voted recently, playing poker could become more onerous for French players. The opening of the gaming market on the Internet brings with it its share of grief for players in France. For some, it's the game that loses all its interest. Before, it was possible to play on any platform, since this vote, all sites became outlawed. The French players could join any online poker game with players from around the world, and put up a few cents to hundreds of thousands of dollars. But the new law will put an end to these practices, it is now illegal for a French player located within France borders to go playing with a phlegmatic English or a Scandinavian.

It is not yet the time of payment at the World Poker Tour Championship 2010. 35 players survived the previous day with the hope of passing through the bubble of money. But this number is still important because only 18 of them could reach the paid place. During the day, the bubble burst, the level is up a notch and the game was becoming increasingly tight. David "Devilfish" Ulliott was one of the first to pack up, and he was quickly followed by former champion Carlos Mortensen and Yevgeniy Timoshenko. As the tournament approached the bubble of money, the game has started to harden, but not for the pretender to the title of player of the year of the World Poker Tour. The evidence, he eliminated Heather Sue Mercer with ease.

EPT Monte Carlo: The ashes of Eyjafjöll will they interfere it ?
When the Eyjafjöll Icelandic volcano spewed ashes, everyone thought that it will only concern the Scandinavian countries and its surroundings. But the effects have been more dramatic mainly for air traffic. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) estimates that the paralysis of the European air traffic will be much more serious than the effects of September 11th. Airline companies losses are estimated at 250 million dollars a day, not counting the perverse effects of the disturbance on the entire economy. The poker industry does not seem to suffer from this stifling of flights. The European Poker Tour San Remo near a record of participation is a perfect example. EPT San Remo is the biggest tournament that the European Poker Tour have ever record, with a total of 1,240 participants.

High Stakes Poker season 6 episode 10 : Avalanche of dirty tricks
If we could briefly summarize the last episode of High Stakes Poker (HSP), it would be "an avalanche of shots to show in the poker schools. One of the best moves was concocted by the patriarch of poker, Doyle Brunson who went all in in a 190BB pot triple-option, and the coup was paying. As for Mike Matusow, he has single-handedly do the show with his eccentricities. As regards Phil Ivey, he quietly left the show. For the episode 10, the casting was particularly impressive because there were only the best of the best of poker : Tom 'durrrr' Dwan, Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Mike Matusow, Eli Elezra, Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier and David Benyamine, Phil Ivey and a brief passage of his namesake Phil 'OMGClayAiken' Galfond.

Bellagio WPT Championship : Yevgeniy Timoshenko in good position for the doublet
Most fans of poker tournaments at the Bellagio have preferred to put their bags on the quiet coastal town of San Remo, in Italy to attend the last event before the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo. This had the effect of completely overshadowed the Bellagio World Poker Tour Championship. If the number of players who paid the entry of $ 25,000 for the championship World Poker Tour seems to be insignificant compared to the event of EPT San Remo (only 161 against 1240 in San Remo), this number is rather correct given the importance of buy-in. And the low number of European players can be attributed to the Icelandic clouds of ash that blanketed the majority of European airspace and that paralyzed numbers of flights.

And the European Poker Tour San Remo will not have an influx less than last year because 585 players have landed in the casino of San Remo during day1. This already large turnout could be even more impressive when we consider that many players from the United Kingdom who had already planned their trips had abandoned their departure at the last moment following the volcanic activity happening in Iceland during this time. Yes, paradoxical as it may seem, the ash flow from an Icelandic volcano give rise in the cancellation of many scheduled flights from Britain and other airports in Northern Europe.
