EPT Snowfest: Baekke champion

After having led from the start to the finish of the first edition of the European Poker Tour Snowfest, Allan "Sifosis" Baekke completes his performance with a victory. He earns € 445,000 after 6 days of fierce fighting in defeating 546 players. He earns at the same time a place for the grand final of the European Poker Tour which will take place in Monaco next month. This is his first title at a step of the European Poker Tour after an exemplary attendance at this tournament because he was at his fifteen participation in a stage of the EPT during this stop in Austrian soil. The Danish player known for playing high stake has landed at the final table with the status of chip leader.



In the last round of the tournament, Strassmann who will finish in third place winning € 166,000, load pre-flop, which will be followed by Baekke. The flop reveals 10d, A, 4. Strassmann bet, but Baekke make a call. The turn was hiding a 9d, Strassmann decides to pull out the heavy artillery, but Baekke will follow him without flinching. The river reveals a Kd. Both players will bring into play all their chips. Strassmann held AK for top two pair and was cooled when Baekke has open 4d and 5d for the color. The final head's up was later disputed by the young Danish and Russell Carson. After on-raises and raises endless pre-flop, Carson displays KJ, that will be beat by the 7-7 of Baekke who will even find a flush. The elimination of Russell Carson in second place brought him € 296,000.
