World Team Poker: France will not be represented

The poker tournament team is the poor child of professional poker, tournaments team had previously been usually reserved for amateur clubs. This kind of tournament was lacking in the professional poker circuit, but the World Team Poker has overcome this gap. The inaugural event of this innovative tournament will be held at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas next May 19. The 19 countries that will participate are: Germany, England, Armenia, Australia, Brazil, China, South Korea, Greece, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Mexico, Norway, Philippines, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Turkey, USA, Vietnam. Do not search anymore, France is not on this list. The first stage at the Golden Nugget will feature 40 professional poker players. They will be divided into 8 teams of five players.



The 8 countries represented are each led by a superstar captain in their respective countries: Phil Hellmuth (Team USA), co-captains Johnny Chan and David Chiu (China Team), Men "The Master" Nguyen (Vietnam Team), Eli Elezra ( Team Israel), Ben Roberts (Team England), co-captains Jeff Lisandro and Tony Guoga (Australia), Juliano Maesano (Team Brazil) and George Kapala (Team Greece). During the event, variants as Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Hold'em and No Limit Hold'em will be played. The buy-in from each team will be $ 50,000. This event will be filmed and viewers worldwide will be able to follow on line this poker game per team. The lucky may attend according to available seats.
