ANZPT: Let's go for five days of exceptionnal tournament

For its return for the season 2, the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour has chosen as first step the city of Adelaide. The inaugural step with AUD 3000 entry fee had taken place on the 9th February in Skycity Casino. After Adelaide, it's Perth's turn to host the event on the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st March. The Day 1A Main Event had begun on March the 17th at 12:15 pm in Burswood Entertainment Complex, a complex which includes casinos, two hotels, theaters, bars, restaurants and a concert hall. Although retired from major cities of Australia like Sydney and Melbourne by more than 3,000 kilometers, Perth has not escaped the popularity of poker because this game is also played well in this city. And the Burswood casino had played a major rôle in this fact because during recent years, it has established a culture of poker with its Sapphire series and Annual Western Classic. The decision to add in the calendar Perth for season two of the Australian New Zealand Poker Tour comes from there.

As everyone had expected, we find in the list of players of this tournament the player of the year of the World Series of Poker and four-time winner of WSOP bracelet, Jeff Lisandro, who was born in Perth. Of course Jeff Lisandro is not the only star who will play at home, we find also the biggest names in Australian poker Joe Hachem, Tony Hachem, Grant Levy and Eric Assadourian.
