WPT LA Poker Classic: A Hungarian wins

Just after the World Series of Poker, the World Poker Tour LA. Poker Classic is probably the most important appointments that take place on the American soil. Unsurprisingly, poker enthusiasts were represented in a large numbers for this 2010 edition, because 745 players have registered for the $ 10,000 buy-in Main Event and the world big names of poker were legion in the lobby of the Commerce Casino. Big players like Daniel Negreanu were present, the Canadian moreover dominated the early days of the tournament before falling. After the elimination of Carlos Mortensen at the 9th position and that of Johnny Chan in the 12th place, the final table was composed of six players in modest ranking.



Finally the Hungarian Andras Koroknai won the final table of the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic Thursday. He was the only representative of the Old Continent in this final table. Chip leader since the beginning of the final table, he defeated the American Raymond Dolan during the final head's up. One of the most wonderful hand in the final table came when Koroknai Dolan go all-in after a flop of Ac-Qd-2D. Prior to this hand, there were only three players remaining in the tournament (Koroknai, Dolan and Huynh), and Dolan was the chip leader. With this victory in the last WPT LA Poker Classic, he leaves richest with 1.8 million dollars and takes the place of the American Cornel Andrew Cimpan who won the title last year.
