GUKPT Day 1a: 58 players were eliminated

The Day 1A of the Main Event of the £ 1,000 Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour has started this Wednesday, February 25 in the Casino of Walsall. 83 players showed up at this first day ended with the elimination of 58 players. At the end of Day 1, the Runner-Up World Head's-Up James Mitchell is at the top of the classification after amassing a huge stack of 160,000 chips. He has more than 60,000 chips more than Keys, his nearest rival. James Mitchell has more than three times the average of chips which is 49,800. The biggest names in poker who came at this English appointment did not do too badly because players like Michael Greco, Karl Mahrenholz, Marc Goodwin, Stephen Holden and the winner of last Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour Wu Haitao all located at the head board.

120 players should take the start of the Day 1B, which promises to be explosive with the advent of exceptional players. Note that the famous Grosvenor UK Poker Tour is an appointment very appreciated by French for many reasons, the proximity and its affordable buy-in. Moreover, a French, Thomas Besnier, managed to win the event of Coventry last year. Besnier, a native of the city of Tours is the only one tricolour player who was winning a tournament of the Grovenor United Kingdom Poker Tour, he won £ 8,200 in addition to his guaranteed place for the final tournament Champion of Champions Tournament in London.
