The attack at the European Poker Tour in Berlin during which four gunmen burst into the tournament is far from being an isolated case. 15 days after the German depredation, now the Grand Casino Basel is the subject of a similar robbery. Sunday around 4 a.m, two cars with French number plates carrying ten armed men arrived in the parking of the casino. At this moment, more than 600 people are still in the gaming room. WPT Hollywood Poker Open : « El Matador » won his third title

A field of 143 players is not really a number worthy of a World Poker Tour. We can say that many poker players had shunned the 2010 edition of the WPT Hollywood Poker Open. The buy-in of $ 10,000 would have attracted sharks of green tables. However, pros like Gavin Smith, Greg Mueller, and Erick Lindgren made the trip. Despite the low turnout, the prize pool has reached the colossal sum of $ 1,340,928 and the $ 393,820 were pocketed by the Spaniard Carlos Mortensen, the new champion. It was the third time that Mortensen won a title of the World Poker Tour and then joined Gus Hansen in terms of number of victory in WPT. Mortensen won his first title at the Festa al Lago in 2004. Investment: The Ho family couldn't conquer the United States

The Ho family can't invest through the poker tables and game rooms in Atlantic City. Pansy Ho, daughter of macanas billionaire Stanley Ho can not take the 50% share of the casino complex in New Jersey. The affiliation with the patriarch's crime syndicate of Macau is one of the reasons of this decision. The Commission on New Jersey's casinos formally objects to the fact that the Ho family can invest funds in the United States. Even if the investment concerns only Pansy Ho, the authorities deemed unreliable because of the connections of his father.
