NAPT: The new poker tournament broadcast on ESPN

ESPN channel has just announced on Tuesday that it would broadcast 16 hours of the North American Poker Tour (NAPT), the new tour which will rival the World Poker Tour. The creation of this new poker circuit was announced in January, during the PCA in Bahamas. Two other stopping were announced at the time: the Venetian casino in Las Vegas in Nevada and Mohegan Sun in Uncasville in Connecticut. The rest of the tour will be published soon. This broadcast on the ESPN channel will give more importance to this new baby of the circuit. “Having the North American Poker Tour on ESPN2 will give poker on this continent a new level”, said “Kid Poker” Daniel Negreanu. “With some of the most important gambling sites of the United States on board and the scope of ESPN2, the NAPT is determined to make discover a unique poker experience to millions people who love this game as much as me”.



Each stopping of the North American Poker Tour will highlight the Main Event of $5,000 but in some places, other tournaments will be selected for television transmission. Under the cover of next week at the Venetian, the $ 25,000 tournament will be at the center. Thirty-six participants will compete in this tournament. “We are very pleased to offer the North American Poker Tour on ESPN”, has informed producer Jamie Horowitz. “The NAPT will offer to fans, big names and big stakes”, he added.
