Open de France de Poker # 1: A first promising edition

The “Open de France de Poker” is a newcomer on the French poker circuit. The Royal Casino Cannes-Mandelieu is the place chosen by the organizers to host the first edition. Act 1 takes place from February the 20th to the 28th and the structure announced is no longer than the current fashion nowadays which is Deepstack. The “Open de France de Poker” will offer a total of 22 tournaments in just over a week. It will include: satellites for the Main Event, Sides Event but also a Ladies Event. The entrance fee is €150 for 15 satellites of 2,000 +200€ for the Main Event through 300 +30 € for the Ladies. Concerning the Main Event, there will be 50,000 chips to start, rounds of one hour and blinds starting at 25/50.



The tournament of Cannes Mandelieu “Open de France de Poker” promises in this first edition to be in the part of the top 5 best tournaments of the country. No fewer than 50 dealers from many international countries like France, Italy, Bulgaria, Holland and the United Kingdom are expected at the Royal Casino Cannes and this to be compliant with international TDA rules. We know that Biechel Remy, Thomas Fougeron, Auréline Guiglini, Adrian Allain, Guillaume Darcourt, François Tardieu, or Manu B are among the 250 players expected for the Main Event. The prize pool for the first “Open de France de Poker” is estimated at 550,000 Euros.
