EFOP Diamond Championship: Roger Lemaire wins a title

Roger Lemaire and Eric Qu were the two last antagonists in the final head’s up of the Euro Diamond Poker Championship held in the Aviation Club de France. The first is a young prodigy of online poker while the second was a player ranked at the fifth position in the latest European Poker Tour of Monaco. The final head's up delivered its champion after more than three hours of battle, and finally the youth become the winner. After three days of competition Eric Qu and Roger Lemaire were the two last survivors, they were hoisted to the top 140 players. The participants in this EFOP Diamond Championship were consisted of regular players of the Parisian circles, professionals and the new generation.

The last four players of the Main event of the EFOP were composed of a plethora of very good players. Among the last 9 survivors, there were 3 players from the Internet as Lemaire and Nitsche, a sponsored player (Abecassis), players who managed large international performance (Friberg, Nitsche, Abecassis, Qu) and finally the regulars of the ACF (Qu, Dethière, Halimi). Hugo Lemaire began the final face to face final with in his possession the majority of chips in circulation, but was balanced by doubling his opponent because of a bluff that failed. Roger has refused a financial settlement at the beginning of the final meeting before returning his decision. This amicable agreement could speed up the game, but one player has been extremely tough, and he is ultimately the "Grinder" which won the game, and leaves with the tidy sum of 175,000 Euros.
