Borgata Winter Open: Jeff Madsen triumph

In only four years of career in the pros, Jeff Madsen accumulates already victories and performance. At 24 years, he has amassed more than $3 million from poker winnings. His first participation in the World Series of Poker in 2006 gave to him a bracelet. During these four years of career, he managed to return 35 times in the money. Recently, Madsen has set up his own rule in front of a field of 766 players at the Borgata Winter Open No Limit Hold'em Championship $ 3,000 buy-in, a championship held at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

Madsen was awarded the status of chip leader at the end of the Day2, and he never dropped this status until the final table that preceded his victory. A triumph he won face to the runner-up Sirious Jamshidi after the final head's up. This is his third victory in a major tournament after the two bracelets of the World Series of Poker in 2006 in the $ 5,000 Short Handed NL Hold'em and the $ 2,000 NL Hold'em. After the elimination of Marchese, the title would be decided between Madsen and Jamshidi on the final head’s up, during which the top two players had the same chance of victory because both had roughly the same number of chips. After one hour, Madsen managed to turn the battle to his advantage, he possessed the double of the chips of his opponent and this latter was subject to a pressure from Madsen throughout the second part of the game. This performance let Madsen to earn a check of $ 625,000.
