WPT Five Diamond Classic 2010: Scott Clements invites to its boycott
The 31 programs of the poker tournament 2010 WPT Five Diamond Classic which will be held on March the 31st to April the 24th, 2010 were presented in Bellagio. Among the 31 tournaments programmed, 17 of them are all rebuys tournaments whose conditions of play are exactly similar with those of last year. The many professional players present on the place showed their disgrace because Scott Clements already carried out a battle so that the program of this tournament regains the figure of that of 2009 with rebuy tournaments at moderate price but obviously, the organizers did not want heard anything. Clements, very shocked by the event, incited American professional players, whose majority accepted, to sign a protest in order to counter this decision taken by the organizers.
However, one of the prestigious directors of the very famous tournament in the world of poker affirmed that no correction is possible with regard to the program of the 2010 WPT Five Diamond Classic tournament and the effort of Clements failed. But this great rejection from the organizers of the tournament really annoyed Scott Clements; the player announced that he will try an action of boycotting of the 2010 WPT Five Diamond Classic and some professional poker players live and online adhered in his view. Definitely the industry of poker is in a great embarrassment and will have to face this major problem because this WPT Five Diamond Classic is a very important tournament before the great departure of the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
