Jake Cody: Several defeats in tournament live before the coronation in Deauville

The victory of the young British, Jake Cody in the European Poker Tour of Deauville astounded the world of poker. He knew how to eliminate many talented poker players at the time of this tournament. Fanatic of cash game and regular player of online poker, Cody began on Internet at the age of 16 years. Like all professional players of poker, he also studied the game by reading books and reviews of poker but the young champion especially worked out his own strategies and accumulated experience while playing with high level players such as Matt Perrins and Tom MacDonald. Before his great coronation in the EPT of Deauville, Jake Cody already carried out great exploits in the world of online poker, a kind of poker where he gained the second place in the Event 12 of the FTOPS and the $198,000 of the NLHE “6-max” with $1,000.

Jake Cody knew many defeats in live tournaments and that really marked him, but he decided in spite of these defeat to launch in the EPT of Deauville because, according to him, there were a low number of participants. His competitive mind helped him much to surmount the obstacles and the hard blows of the competition and at the great surprise of the fans of poker, Jake Cody became in the following days, champion of this stage of the EPT. With his 800,000 Euros at the bank, Cody still remains in the cloud but nevertheless plans to advance in the world of professionalism. Moreover, his great victory was worth to him a place in the list of pros. And while waiting for the next great tournament of its career, Cody will be present at the UKIPT of Manchester.
