Florida: Possible liberalization of online poker

We remember that in 2009 the State of Florida had made a wish to liberalize completely poker live with any kind of buy-ifn, a State where the poker is already partially authorized. Indeed, after California, it is the turn of the State of Florida to consider a possible legalization of rooms of online poker. For the first time, during the next legislative session in Florida, the legislators will examine the means of perceiving incomes from poker and online sports betting to determine if all the activity should be prohibited. The American Congress will examine soon on the question of the poker on Internet. As online gambling is illegal in the United States and can be sanctioned locally, the questions surrounding gambling thus become very large. It is difficult to regulate, because websites are exploited by foreign companies located out of the American territory.

The ultimate question is, “which own the Internet?” it is not easy to answer. Several options will be submitted to the legislators of Florida, like the prohibition of the poker on Internet in Florida or the regulation. Each of these options is very prone to problems. A major problem with the prohibition of the poker on Internet is the application of prohibition. Any person having access to Internet can potentially lead to sites allowing gambling; so prohibitions would be very difficult to apply. IP addresses should not be found and a long investigation could result from it, which costs money for the State more than what they are ready to treat potentially.
