Aussie Millions High Roller: Phil Ivey fails a little in the finale table

After a few days of dream in the Bahamas during the Poker Caribbean Adventure (PCA 2010), poker players took the direction of Australia to profit the southern summer and at the same time taking part in the most important tournament of live poker of the southern hemisphere. During two weeks, Melbourne vibrated at the rhythm of poker by accommodating the new edition of the Aussie Millions in Crown Casino, the establishment which had just built for the occasion a new surface, which had increased the capacity of its Crown Poker Room with 12 new tables of game. The peak of what we could compare to the World Series Australian Poker was the Main Event of $10,500 of buy-in which was held this Sunday.

Beside this principal event, 11 other tournaments were programmed. Eight of them were already finished, of which the last Event “High Roller” of AUD$100,000 which has just ended before the beginning of the Main Event. This special test assembled 8 players, but not less than 24 players were registered for the event. Gus “The Great Dan” Hansen, Erick Lindgren and Tom “durrrr” Dwan did not make long fire, because they were eliminated during on the first day. Phil Ivey held out until the head’s up final, but the victory was taken by Dan Shark, he has began the finale table of this poker tournament with the second largest stake.
