WPT Classic Day 3: Nguyen pursues closely the chipleaders

The third day of the last World Poker Tour of this year has just given its verdict. There will be only 36 players out of the 130 who took the departure after 9 hours of competition which counted 5 hours levels thirty each one who were qualified. This day fixed the fate of the last French players; France will not be represented in the Day 4. At the end of a very intense third day of the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond, World Classic Poker, chipleader of the second day Toto Leonidas lets the first place to Daniel Alaei. With Toto Leonidas, Steven Landfish and Josh Arieh belong to the 3 players who exceed the one million tokens. The champion of the Main Event of the 1998 World Series of Poker titillates the bar of the million tokens with his 981.500 chips and will be able to approach also the day 4 peacefully.



Jean Noël Thorel and Daniel Conte were the last two representatives of the French poker in the Day 3. Even if Jean Noël Thorel were in very good position at the beginning of the Day, the two French players did not take advantage from their advances. In the 94 players who go back to their hotel rooms without any money, we find, Tom Dwan, Doyle Brunson, Sorel Mizzi, Mike Matusow, and the last two French. The 36 remaining players will face each other until obtaining the final table. The winner of the tournament will win a cheque of 1.428.430 $ and one ticket for WPT Bellagio championship for 25,000 dollars.
