WPT Doyle Brunson Classic: Negreanu criticize the organization

The World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic is the most important event of Las Vegas in this end of the year. With the World Championship Poker, these events are the two tournaments with the highest buy-in of the circuit. The Day 1 was held in the Fontana Room of the Bellagio Casino of Las Vegas and attracted 292 players, who had played 5 levels of 1h 30. During this first day, we saw the ousting of some big players. Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu, made only one short passage on a very raised table, composed by Bertrand “ElKy” Grospellier, Men and Scotty Nguyen. The “Kid Poker”, obviously not happy of his elimination, wrote a virulent message via Twitter for the organizers “Wow, know Bellagio officially become the worst tournament of the country. I was registered just after a guy and I stay at the same table as him. It’s extraordinary. In my table, there are Men and Scotty Nguyen and ElkY, we were registered all at the same time”.

During this Day 1, we had also noted the elimination of Paul Wasicka, Jeff Madsen, Chad Brown, Tuan It, Mel Judah, Scott Montgomery Jonathan Little, and of the champion of last year David Chino Rheem. The Day 1 succeeded for the tricolour players. Fabrice Soulier is always in the course even if he is in the bottom of the classification. Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier and Arnaud Mattern will also continue the adventure.
