Spanish Poker Tour: Steven van Zadelhoff came first and reached the title

The finale of the Spanish Poker Tour which was held in the Canary Islands since November the 25th, in the sumptuous casino Costa Meloneras, had revealed its verdict. After having furrowed all Spain, the Spanish Poker Tour (SPT) posed its bags for the great final in the paradisiacal island of Gran Canaria. At the end of the various parts which followed one another during this final, it was finally the Dutch pro player, Steven van Zadelhoff who took down the title. It is his best result in all his professional career, his best former performance was a seventh place at the time of an additional event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in 2007. This 7th place thus enabled him to win 67,000 euro of profits.

The Dutchman flew over the 96 participants of the Spanish tournament and we could say that his adversaries were not the smallest amount, because players such as Fabrice Soulier and Antoine Saout, also Ivo Donev or the Spanish Leo Margets were indexed among the participants taking parts for this tournament. But any of these players hadn’t reached the final table. During this last phase, Ismaël Arribas was the first player who was eliminated and who leave the table, then followed by Cesar Ordoner (9th), Jerome Lubet (8th) and Rainer Klär (7th). The final Heads-Up was disputed between Steven van Zadelhoff and Rob Sherwood. Rob Sherwood was defeated by the Dutchman who imposed during the part an aggressive play. The two players obtained each one 100,000 euros and 35,000 euros.
