Loto Quebec: Its incomes register a real fall

Like the majority of the terrestrial casinos, as well in the United States, in France and everywhere in Europe, the famous Loto Quebec also noted a decrease of its incomes and its benefit for this year. This company made up of several sectors recorded certainly a small benefit during the 3rd quarter compared to the previous quarter, however this financial result dropped by 5.9%, and was situated at 394.6 million dollars against 371 million dollars during the same exercise of the last year. The consolidated incomes of this Public company of Quebec, owner of all the casinos of the country for the 2nd quarter was in fall of 2.2% compared with the same quarter of 2008-2009, or 945.9 million $.

For the slot machine videos placed in racecourses and gaming rooms, even if they have given the right to obligations of commissions to Loto-Quebec, the Ministry of Finance asked them to stop the payment because of the weak audience of the equestrian attractions. These slot machines then recovered and will be reinstalled only later. These racecourses brought back to the company 11.4 million dollars last year whereas in the end of the financial year 2009-2010, it was foreseen that these machines will bring back 11.3 million dollars. As for the lottery sector, the turnover of this activity was from 540 million dollars to 532 million dollars this year. However, the director of the relation presses of Loto Quebec, Jean Pierre Roy is satisfied by this result because considering the current economic situation, these financial results remain very acceptable especially for a casino group.
