Poker: Ludovic Lacay on the traces of Antoine Saout

Since a few years, many young French poker players coming from Internet have invested the prestigious tables live of the planet. But among these young hope of the French poker, Ludovic Lacay really his individuality. This 24 years Toulouse native forsook his studies of law to devote himself entirely to poker. Even if compared with the 8.5 million dollars that Joe Cada gained after his victory at the Main Event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), his profits appear still thin, but they are very impressive all the same for a French player. A few years ago, he still went at the university the day, worked in a chain of rapid restoration the evening and spent long nights until exhaustion on a site of online poker. And it is the poker which changed his life. Odd jobs are finished for him, actually, for Lacay, it’s now place for trip in first class and stay on the luxury hotels.

This year he gained around 600,000 euros of profits in tournament. His larger performance in 2009 was a sixteenth place at the WSOP of Las Vegas last July which allowed him to pocket 350,000 euros. He has also won a third place at the World Poker Tour (WPT) of Marrakech with a consequent profit of 165,000 euros. In the classification of profits in tournament of French players, he appears in a very good place, because he is at the 12th rank and he is only at his beginning considering his age and his progression. Even his boss Patrick Bruel earned less money than him on tables of poker.
