French media: A little more admiring to poker
Poker was still considered a few times ago as a pastime or a marginal practice in the French society. But with the coming of Internet which contributed widely to its popularization, poker became a discipline which fascinates. Since the performance of the Breton man Antoine Saout in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker, French media granted a place of choice to poker. In its pages, the daily newspaper "France Soir" greets the 3rd position of the best French player of all time by dedicating to him its Front Page. A big first one thus for " France Soir " which had also proposed a special rubric for poker and an interview of the best third player in the world and another interview of the president of the French Federation of Poker.
“France Info” as for made the impasse on the current events of the World Series of poker. It chooses to speak some more about cash game matches which take place every evening at the famous Bellagio casino and online high stakes. We could find on this France Info edition a special page of poker with interviews of Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu and the best online French player David Benyamin. The newspaper Journal du Dimanche which has already covered completely the event of Las Vegas by its website, dedicates also a long article to the Breton man and shows him its admiration: "the ancient student in computing gained especially the eternal recognition of other players.
