WSOP 2009: Antoine Saout registers the best French performance

Even if Antoine Saout were eliminated from the race to the supreme title of the World Series of Poker 2009 (WSOP), his third place from now is on fit in annals of French poker. The podium of this Breton is effectively the greatest French performance of all times. Faithful to his style of play where calms, concentration and solidity were only the main topic, he knew to show his best game during the 18 hours of aggressiveness during this big finale. Antoine Saout to whom this beautiful third place could be a little bitter, he is the last player to take the exit before the final Heads-Up which will take along the last two players to the supreme title of this major poker event of the year.

Within sight of the place of the French player at the beginning of this final table, the statistics did not pay its skin expensive, because he was only in the 8th position. But with after a few hours of game, he knew to garner a few million tokens, those had passed from 9,000,000 to 80,000,000. Even without the bracelet, Antoine Saout leaves the tournament with honour, gains at the same time and the recognition of other players. He knew to show to everyone that in spite of his youth, he has the talent of a true champion of poker. As a consolation, the French will set out again with the cheque of $3,479,670 he will be able to think also that even the best player of poker of the world, Phil Ivey was far behind him with some step of his third place. Joe Cada and Darvin Moon have for their part received the ticket for the final.
