Twitter: The social network website launches its bingo
The first application to play online on the well-known social network website Twitter will be bingo. With success that bingo knows currently on the Internet, it is a little normal if bingo was chosen by Twitter even if games like blackjack, poker, slot machines exist online. The bingo of Twitter will be launched under the name of TwitterINGO. Besides its name, the new application differs somewhat from the traditional bingo. Indeed, the numbers were replaced by figures. Like the network, prices will be also fictitious but it is hoped that the pleasure will remain the same. As a reward, players will receive badges “I won twitteringo” or literally “I gained at twitteringo”; badge which they can post later on the profile in order to be seen in virtual circles they attend. The concept of money was excluded of this new remix of bingo. Currently tweeps (members of the Twitter community) will be able to play TwitterINGO only once in the week.
It is a company under the name of Definition6 which is at the origin of the project. This marketing and e-trade company which is based in Atlanta developed the program so that thousands of tweeps all over the world can play bingo. According to Michael Kogon, the founder of Definition6, “this application is the ideal mode to extend the diffusion of Twitter in an amusing and effective way”. Considering the speed to which tweeps monopolize the new applications, the bingo of Twitter will be able to take-off quickly in a few times.
