WPT Festa Lago: Freddy Deeb, the favourite of the final table

In spite of the difficulty for World Poker Tour Festa Lago to attract players, the event was even a great appointment of poker during which big players did not fail to offer a superb spectacle. In spite of the fact that they were only 275 to take part in this WPT, that menas a fall of approximately 20% compared with last year, the suspense worthy of a great meeting like the WSOP was lived there. With the new method of inscription that this tournament offered, a method of late inscription which authorizes players to enter during the Day 2, only thirty players came to make tardily their inscription like Kenny Tran, Andy Bloch, Todd Brunson, Phil Hellmuth and Chris Ferguson. And in spite of this delay, they profited the 60,000 tokens offered but they had even much difficulty to face other competitors.

If 30 players only among the 98 who resisted during the Day 2 approached the third day, big players like Barry Shulman, Howard Lederer, Paul Wasicka, John Juanda, Erik Seidel and Kenny Tran had already said their good-bye to a probable title. And after the five days of competition, among the six finalists who qualified themselves for the final table, it was Freddy Deeb who is the favorite as the chipleader of this finale of the WPT in front of Tommy Vedes. After six hours of game during the fifth day, the 11 players who faced each other quickly indicated those which will go to sit at the final table. With 3,840the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will be at the head of the race. Shawn Cunix and Tommy Vedes and three other players will face them for the final title.
