WPT Fest Al Lago: Less popular than envisaged

If the eyes of enthusiasts of poker are riveted in Poland for the stage of the European Poker Tour which is currently held there, know that Las Vegas accommodates an event quite as important as the EPT, it acts of the WPT Festa Al Lago. Once again, it is Bellagio which receives the Main Event of the World Poker Tour Festa Al Lago. For this stage, we can say that players did not hustle themselves; indeed they were only 264 to take the departure of the tournament. Once more, this weak participation can be allotted to the calendar of tournaments of poker which follow one another; effectively the number of tournaments does not cease increasing each year. Each large city of the planet has its own tournament whereas some ten years ago, this privilege was only reserved for large capitals.

Conscious of this wound, organizers found the parade: players are authorized to be registered until the beginning of the Day 2. Thus, certain pros players like Phil Hellmuth or Andy Bloch had until 17 PM to be registered and begin the part only during the Day2. This parade could booster formidably the number of participants. With resulting from Day1, they were only 200 players who compete for the famous final table and the prize pool for paid places. At the end of this first day, the 224,000 tokens of Mike “The Mouth” Matusow made of him the chipleader day, in front of Mark Seif (222,000 tokens) and Jason Somerville (213,000 tokens). Pros like Daniel Negreanu, Justin Smith and David Benyamine had left very early this meeting on the $15,000 tournament.
