Dependence on virtual casinos: Patrick Partouche denies any risk
On the radio station Europe 1, Patrick Partouche, business leader of the group of casinos having the same name disputes the qualifier of “pleasant dealer” which is attributed to him for some time. According to this big boss of croupiers, this nickname should go to the French State because it is the entity which distributes licences to casinos so that they can open. If the State does not want casinos and gambles on all the French territory, the State can say it loudly and strongly. During the emission, Patrick Partouche completely rejects any risk of addiction concerning liberalization of the sector of online games, whose fate is currently between the hands of the representatives. Moreover, he underlined measurements taken by the French casinos to anticipate these risks of dependence. According to him, online casinos make systematic inspections of identity and the installation of Addictel, a system council provided by telephone, available 24 h/24 is added to that.
Isidore Partouche’s son did not hide his fear with respect to the bill on the opening of online games. He thinks that this opening will not be good for casinos provided that tender is segmented and that real casinos can also offer gambling machines or of virtual online tables. Concerning the series of new awaited operators if the sector is liberalized, Patrick Partouche said that they are welcome, but that everyone must play the same rule, at least in terms of addiction. About thirty licences of game which the French State is on the point of distributing, up to now, will not indeed fail to find taker quickly.
