Negreanu: New recordman of gains in tournament

Who could have believed that Daniel Negreanu will become one day one of the greatest name of the world of poker? The man who, at his first travel to Las Vegas, was truly a fish and lost there thousands of dollars. But now, specialists in poker agree to say that he is one of the best player of the modern poker. But even if “Kid Poker” is the unhappy finalist of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) of London, the fifth bracelet passed under his nose after palpitating Head's Up against the winner. But the Canadian will always be able to boast of having won other trophies to his prize list. Even if he was not crowned champion, a second place in the WSOP is a true performance, added to his many victories and paid places in all the world circuit. (WSOP, WPT, EPT).

After his last £495,589 gain which represent $817,035, his cumulated earnings amount to $12,427,000. He charms thus the title of recordman of gains with Jamie Gold. Jamie who took the first position since his victory during the Main Event of the World Series Poker 2006, which bring $2,000,000 to him. If Daniel Negreanu really wanted this new title, he will not have to sleep on his laurel and will have to fight hardly in the circuit because a gigantic challenger is behind him. Tiger Wood of poker is not far and it just takes little to reverse the tendency. Phil Ivey performance during the finale of Main Event 2009 will propel him to the first position.
