WPT Bratislava: The title hoarded by the Hungarian Richard Toth

The World Poker Tour stage (WPT) which took place in the capital of Slovakia did not entice a lot of people. They were only one hundred during the beginning of the tournament. This Slovak event was nevertheless supposed to attract poker players coming from central and Eastern Europe, according to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the World Poker tour, Steve Lips. This stage of the WPT in Bratislava was won by a regional player who is the Hungarian Richard Toth. Since the beginning of the tournament, he occupied all the time the position of chipleader behind Alec Torelli, a player used to big international tournaments and big tables of poker and who already won the fourth position during the World Poker Tour Bellagio Cup.

The final heads-up saw the confrontation of Boris Zeleny and Richard Toth and this last one knew how to manage heads-up into his advantage in order to treat him to another title in a big tournament of poker. But even though Toth does not still have an impressive prize list, he remains a much experimented player. In 2006, he has already ended at the second position in a $1,500 No limit Hold’em during the World Series of Poker. In October, last year, he won the Austrian Classics which counts for the European Poker Masters. During the last WSOP, he obtained very good results because he finished several times in a paid place. At the moment, another stage of World Poker Tour is taking place in Cyprus. They were 181 to take the departure of the tournament with a $10,300 record buy-in.
