France Poker Tour: 1,500 players waited on Saturday in Paris
To participate in large-scale tournaments of poker and to meet stars of this discipline, it is necessary to count tens of thousand of euros. Even if "France Poker Tour" knows a real success and even if its fame has already exceeded since well for a long time French frontiers, the French event continues to opt for the free access because of the legislation in this country. Like every year, fight for the title of "Champion of France of poker" promises to be warm. It is the French capital which will inaugurate the big coming back of France Poker Tour on Saturday, August the 29th. This inaugural stage will take place in the grandiose frame of Carrousel du Louvre.
The organizers count on the coming of 1,500 participants only for the Parisian stage of the France Poker Tour while the very first edition had attracted only 300 enthusiasts of poker. Thirteen stages have in total quite 7,500 qualified players. The president of the French Federation of Poker Players and organizer of France Poker Tour is proud of the success and the road crossed by the FPT since its creation in 2004. While the world poker is succumbing in the fascination of star system and the American money, FPT knew how to as for it remaining accessible what doubtless makes its success. After Paris, FPT will go in 12 other cities stages where it is planned. The caravan of the tour will get back then to the capital in January for the big finale where other players can pay a registration fee to be able to join the group, what will have an effect of increasing the prizepool.
